In AImotion, we are creating an environment where the user’s movements trigger emotional audio and visual feedback. We are showing the excitement and fear that a person experiences when she/he develops affection towards another human being who is hesitant to approach her/him. By replacing the beholder of the affection with an algorithm-generated being, we aim to open up a discussion on the ambiguity of our empathy towards the artificially created emotional being and what this ambiguity tells us about how our empathy works.
